Carpenter/Laborer Mikes Building Services Fleetwood, NC 28626 Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. We run a smaller team and we are looking for 2-3 skilled candidates. Background in carpentry is good but not necessarily required. We work 8 am to 4 pm, Monday – Friday. Our work day starts at our shop in Fleetwood with company vehicle to drive to the job site. Applicants may call me personally at 336-971-4713 between 5 – 7 pm on weekdays. Responsibilities Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Perform concrete forming and caulking as needed for various projects. Execute frame carpentry tasks including building walls, roofs, and other structural components. Fabricate custom pieces as required for specific installations. Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, windows, and trim carpentry elements. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to project requirements. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols. Skills Proficiency in concrete forming techniques. Experience with caulking applications for sealing joints and seams. Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Knowledge of trim carpentry methods for finishing work. Capability to fabricate custom pieces based on design specifications. Familiarity with frame carpentry practices for building structures. Skill in fixture installation including cabinetry and hardware. Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
