The ideal candidate will have a strong background in frame carpentry and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves working on residential and commercial projects, ensuring that structures are built to specifications and adhere to safety standards. The Framer will collaborate with other tradespeople and contribute to the successful completion of projects. Duties Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to determine project specifications. Perform frame carpentry tasks including wall framing, roof framing, and floor framing. Install drywall, siding, trim carpentry, and stucco as required by project specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks. Assist in managing construction timelines and ensuring project milestones are met. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Lift heavy materials as needed throughout the course of daily operations. Requirements Proven experience in frame carpentry; additional skills in drywall installation, stucco application, or siding installation are preferred. Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately. Familiarity with construction management principles is a plus. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation to job sites.
