Lead Carpenter Steel Caliber Renovations Hope Mills, NC 28348 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to lead projects and manage a team effectively. This role requires expertise in various carpentry tasks, including fixture installation, cabinet installation, and tile laying. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute construction plans accurately. Perform various carpentry tasks including caulking, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and tile laying. Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively for all carpentry tasks. Conduct masonry work as needed to support construction projects. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment. Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices on best practices in carpentry techniques. Manage material inventory and order supplies as necessary for ongoing projects. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project specifications are met. Skills Proficient in using power tools and hand tools related to carpentry. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and building codes. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during project execution. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team. Effective communication skills for collaboration with clients and team members. Experience in construction painting is a plus.
