This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry field while working alongside skilled professionals. The Carpenter Apprentice will assist in various construction projects, learning essential skills and techniques necessary for a successful career in carpentry. Responsibilities Assist experienced carpenters with the installation of flooring, trim, and cabinetry. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction tasks. Help with caulking, painting, and finishing work to ensure high-quality results. Follow schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications. Support the team in heavy lifting and moving materials as needed on job sites. Learn to plumb walls and install electrical components under supervision. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly. Experience Previous experience or coursework related to carpentry or construction is preferred but not required. Familiarity with flooring installation techniques is a plus. Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in carpentry. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction work. Willingness to learn new skills, including trim carpentry and electrical work, as part of the apprenticeship program.
