• Job Overview:

• We are seeking a Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping the carpenter when constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Must help complete builds, repairs and finish work as needed.

• Duties:

• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Help Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, trim, or hardware

• Skills:

• Experience in carpentry
• Ability to assemble and install various components accurately
• Hold timber, lumber and paneling in place for fastening or cutting.
• Selects tools, equipment, and materials from storage and transfers items to worksites.
• Fastens timber or lumber with glue, screws, pegs or nails and installs hardware.
• Cleans work areas, machines and equipment to maintain a clean and safe jobsite.
• Holds plumb bobs, sighting rods, or other to aid in establishing references, points, and lines.
• Aligns, straightens, plumbs and squares forms for installations.
• Cuts timbers, lumber and/or paneling to specified dimensions, and drills holes in timbers or lumber.
• Smooths and sands surfaces to remove ridges, tool marks, glue or caulking.
• Performs tie spacing layout and measures, mark, drill or cut.
• Assists the the
