Scenic Carpenter FiDi Hospitality 140 Florida Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735 Overview We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using a range of tools and equipment. This role involves working on construction sites, collaborating with other tradespeople, and ensuring that all carpentry work meets high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Perform frame carpentry, including the building of walls, roofs, and floors. Lay tiles and perform masonry work as required for specific projects. Utilize CNC machines for precise cuts and designs when necessary. Execute trim carpentry tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of finished projects. Conduct drywall installation and finishing to create smooth surfaces for painting or wallpapering. Engage in construction painting to ensure that all surfaces are properly finished. Operate power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proficient in frame carpentry techniques with a strong understanding of construction principles. Experience with CNC machinery is a plus for precision work. Knowledge of tile laying methods and masonry practices. Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations. Expertise in trim carpentry to add finishing touches to projects. Ability to effectively use power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders. Competence in drywall installation and repair techniques. Understanding of metal stud framing for commercial projects is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
