SJHamill Construction has an immediate opening for a Carpenter inCharleston, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience incarpentry work related to bridge construction projects. As a BridgeCarpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, andmaintaining bridges using a variety of tools and materials.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Construct and repair bridge structuresaccording to blueprints and specifications Measure, cut, and shapewood, concrete, and other materials to build bridge componentsInstall and secure bridge components such as beams, trusses, andrailings Ensure that all work meets safety standards andregulations Collaborate with other construction team members tocomplete projects on time and within budget

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably with a focus on bridgeconstruction Knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, andmaterials Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technicaldrawings TWIC Card Strong attention to detail and precision inworkmanship Physical strength and stamina to perform manual laborin various weather conditions Excellent communication and teamworkskills Availability and willingness to work weekends and nightshifts per business needs Availability and willingness to work outof town and travel to project locations
