MARLIN serves our clients by offering a variety of tailored services such as, but not limited to structural inspections, assessments, underwater inspection, design and repair services. MARLIN is seeking one full-time Commercial Diver to join our Bridge Operations Department in the Miami Area as an Assistant Bridge Inspector. Candidates will be responsible for assisting the certified bridge inspectors and perform commercial dives to conduct inspections of various infrastructures, including but not limited to bridges, culverts, seawalls, and overhead structures.
Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting safety inspections of assigned bridges and prepare written reports of the conditions of the structures, Perform in-depth inspections using non-destructive methods, mechanized access equipment, and/or climbing gear, Assist certified bridge inspectors in post-incident bridge inspections to determine severity of damage and recommends appropriate actions with regard to bridge closures and detours, Commercially dive to perform underwater inspections of bridges, culverts, and other structures, Preparation and review of technical reports, review of previous inspection reports and plan field operations, and perform inspection work and compile reports
Requirements:
Commercial Diver’s License Safety and first aid trainings
FHWA-NHI
certifications OSHA 10 and 30 Certification Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Physically capable of performing continuous field work including working at heights and in close quarters, climbing, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, and diving underwater Must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
