Position Summary:
The Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on job sites according to specifications and timelines. This position is critical to the successful installation of footings, inlet boxes, box culverts, retaining walls, and other concrete structures. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, follow direction, and deliver high-quality work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set forms, check grades, and prepare surfaces for concrete placement Place, level, and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools Cut joints, edges, and other finishing details per specifications Operate equipment Perform concrete patching and repairs as needed Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Assist crew with other construction duties as required
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a concrete finisher Ability to read and follow project drawings and instructions Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Reliable transportation to and from job sites Must be willing to work in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with GPS or laser grading systems OSHA 10 or 30
