This position is designated as an essential employee and may be required to report to work as scheduled when University offices are closed due to severe weather or other conditions. Responsibilities 1. Process all gifts though Raiser’s Edge database – to include gifts of all types and amounts, and via all methods of receipt. 2. Produce accurate and timely acknowledgements for each gift received. 3. Manage, record, route and store gift documentation as needed. 4. Partner with other University departments to maintain accurate and timely gift processing procedures. 5. Maintain accurate and timely input of all data to contributor and prospect records including placing donors in appropriate categories for stewardship activities. 6. Assist with the production lists for direct mail, prospect management, donor cultivation and compile data for various University publications. 7. Maintain database coding and designing of mail merge documents. 8. Ensure strict confidentiality of donor records. 9. Coordinate assigning and managing database projects for student staff with DUR Administrative Assistant. 10. Assist with staff requests for gift reports and donor/prospect lists as necessary. 11. Manage the gifts email inbox. 12. Take a proactive approach in helping to identify data issues and deficiencies within giving data. 13. Perform related duties as required. 14. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of all cultures and backgrounds. Requirements 1. High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2. Experience with Raiser’s Edge database application preferred. 3. Experience with Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn additional software programs, if needed. 4. Working knowledge of information systems, database management and report writing. 5. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely. 6. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices. 7. High attention to detail.
