Concrete Finisher Lead 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Tampa, FL 33607 POSITION SUMMARY This position is accountable for directing activities of workers concerned with concrete pours in construction of buildings, parking lots, tilt-up walls, p-I-p walls, or other concrete structures on construction projects. The incumbent must support the guiding beliefs and core values of Orion which are centered on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Teamwork, most importantly with each built upon the all-important foundation of Integrity.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Studies contract and/or placing drawings to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times for specific phases of construction. Confers with and assists Superintendent in the direction of personnel engaged in executing work procedures. Assists in the interpretation of plans and specifications and coordination of various phases of construction to prevent delays. Confers with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within workforce. Confers with supervisory personnel to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods. Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to construction schedules. Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used, production hours, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports. Directs workers concerned with maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations. Maintains equipment and tools to ensure long-lasting use. All employees, current and former, must maintain confidentiality by not disclosing to others any confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information belonging to the Company.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS A
minimum of three years of experience on Concrete construction projects. Ability to read and interpret construction documents is required. Experience directing others within a small work unit executing work procedures is required. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. In addition, the incumbent must: Be computer literate Be fluent in English and Spanish (preferred) Be able to work in constant change in weather and site conditions Be able to lift, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach to perform everyday job tasks The Company expects and requires incumbent and each of its other employees to observe and fulfill the above and all other safety responsibilities and actively work toward maintaining a safe workplace. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation. The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes a hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done. This individual must also have the ability to identify critical issues and formulate action plans with all levels of management, including corporate and executive. The incumbent must possess the ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident and as directed by the Safety Representative or other management personnel. Must be capable of evacuating the work area in a timely manner should an emergency situation arise.
