Student Learning Specialist – Center for Academic Retention & Enhancement Florida State University – 4.3 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time $44,056 a year 2 days ago Qualifications Mid-level High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree Canvas LMS software 2 years Full Job Description Department Center for Academic Retention & Enhancement Responsibilities The Student Learning Specialist provides support towards implementation of student learning initiatives within Center for Academic Retention & Enhancement (CARE) which include student support, workshop coordination, staff training and software implementation. Develop and deliver academic support and engagement workshops tailored to student needs. Provide one-on-one advising/consultations for students to promote positive student success outcomes. Coordinate process for students to develop and effectively facilitate peer study groups or peer accountability circles. Coordinate implementation of student learning focused technology platforms, online tutoring platform and EAB Campus Connect with emphasis on usage promotion/ marketing, user onboarding, and data reporting across platforms. Collects, analyzes, and composes reports on service utilization. Develop and update materials for CARE Lab, including maintaining CARE digital signage system, learning resource materials or social media/ Canvas messaging. Assist with the recruitment, training, and supervision of OPS student staff providing customer service or peer education related services. Coordinate the department-wide student employee development program to include student employee training modules in canvas. Foster and maintain strong partnerships with CARE and with other academic units to ensure effective collaboration. Actively participate in professional development or trainings for continuous growth in the position with emphasis on advising, coaching, student learning, and student development skills. Engage in other duties as assigned. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (
