Concrete Finisher Suncoast Construction Group 101 SW 36th Court, Miami, FL 33135
Objective:
As a Concrete Formsetter at Suncoast Construction Group, you will interpret plans to build, assemble, and set forms for molding concrete structures. You’ll be responsible for fitting, aligning, and leveling both metal and wooden forms for concrete paving and curbs, ensuring quality and precision in every project.
Job Duties:
Set forms to proper line and level while reading and comprehending project plans. Collaborate with the survey crew to establish string lines for paving, curbs, and gutters. Construct forms for various concrete placements and structures. Monitor forms during concrete placement to ensure accuracy and quality. Assist and guide team members in stripping forms after the concrete is cured. Install miscellaneous materials during the construction of concrete structures. Erect precast concrete elements as needed. Prepare for slip-forming traffic rails and median barriers. Install permanent metal deck forms for various projects. Utilize hand and power tools effectively. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to navigate a construction job site, including climbing ladders, traversing inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Demonstrated ability to engage in heavy physical activity throughout the day, performing strenuous tasks of a primarily productive/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to handle tools and materials safely and effectively. Willingness to work outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions, including rain, sun, snow, and wind.
