Marketing Full Job Description Summary:

Miami Homes For All seeks candidates to be MHFA’s Housing Placement Specialist (HPS). We are looking for a self-driven and resourceful individual to help ensure that all youth and families have a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. The HPS is responsible for helping youth and families navigate the housing process and be placed in permanent housing solutions quickly, supporting the Housing Recruitment Manager in managing our affordable housing database and relationships with landlords and property managers, and providing technical support and assistance to partner organizations (i.e., housing and service providers). An ideal candidate has experience in real estate, case management, or relevant sales or communications experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide housing navigation support to youth and families experiencing or exiting homelessness in partnership with shelter providers. The HPS will be responsible for meeting youth and families and their case managers where they are and assisting them in being quickly and safely housed. The HPS’s daily functions may include: Support youth and families in being document-ready and accessing housing benefits/programs. Provide housing education and readiness workshops. Support coordination efforts between landlords/property managers, participant households, and service or housing providers. Data management and stakeholder engagement. The HPS will be responsible for supporting the Housing Recruitment Manager in managing and updating our affordable housing database. Additionally, the HPS will manage relationships with landlords and property managers to ensure accuracy and up-to-date database information. The HPS’s weekly functions may include: Updating the affordable housing database: Taking photographs and videos of properties, interviewing landlords/property managers, and inputting relevant information into the database. Conducting outreach and engagement with prospective and current landlords or property managers: Going to networking events, supporting the Housing Recruitment Manager to meet with prospective landlords or property managers, and acting as a liaison between landlords/property managers, housing/service providers, and prospective tenants. Provide technical support, assistance, and training to partner housing and service providers. The HPS will support the Housing Recruitment Manager in engaging, motivating, and supporting partner organizations to streamline housing placements and care coordination referrals. The HPS’s monthly functions may include: Coordinating monthly care coordination meetings to promote housing-first solutions. Provide monthly training or technical support to partner organizations. Provide care coordination or referral support to partner organizations and household participants. Assists the Housing Recruitment Manager, as necessary, with their duties and responsibilities. Other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience. A bachelor’s degree is required. Education in social work, real estate, sales, data science, or communications is preferred. The ideal candidate will have social work, marketing/sales, or real estate experience. TecHPSical, general, and communication skills. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Google+ Suite, Hootsuite, Canva, Salesforce, MLS, Padmission, and Prezi). The ideal candidate will have c lear and engaging verbal communication and be able to write concisely and in a manner that builds relationships. Spanish and Creole speakers are preferred.
