Full-Time Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Blueprint Reader with a strong background in concrete construction to join our team in Wawayanda, NY . The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience interpreting construction drawings and blueprints related to concrete scopes, including foundations, footings, slabs, walls, and structural elements. This is a critical, detail-oriented role supporting field crews and project managers by providing accurate interpretations of plans to ensure project alignment and execution.

Schedule & Compensation:

12-hour shifts , Monday through Friday Weekends off

Hourly Pay:

$30•$40/hour (depending on experience) Per diem negotiable , based on location and travel requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately read and interpret blueprints, site plans, structural drawings, and construction documents specific to concrete work Communicate drawing details and dimensions to foremen, crews, and subcontractors on-site Identify potential discrepancies or conflicts in plans and communicate with project managers for resolution Provide layout guidance for formwork, rebar placement, embeds, and pours Support pre-construction planning and field execution by clarifying plan details Ensure field crews understand scope and layout requirements for each phase of work Assist in material takeoffs and quantity verifications as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints in the concrete construction industry Strong understanding of concrete construction methods and terminology Ability to identify plan errors, missing information, and potential conflicts Comfortable working on active job sites and collaborating with field crews and project managers Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
