un ⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Concrete Worker (Lakemont, GA) PRST compensation: $22 – $30 DOE employment type: experience level: mid level job title: Concrete Worker Job Summary Join our team for a new build concrete construction project! We are seeking reliable and hardworking crew members to assist with various phases of building foundation, slab, and sidewalk installation. This is a great opportunity to work on a focused project and add new projects to your resume. ________________________________________ Responsibilities Mobilization #1 (2 weeks):
- Layout building, install batter boards, and mark out footings
- Operate mini excavator to excavate footings
- Install bulkheads, tie rebar for footings and slab edges, and set anchor bolts (if required)
- Pour and finish concrete footings; consolidate and float to level
- Chalk lines for cast-in-place walls; install and tie wall rebar
- Set Symon Steel Ply forms, brace to level and square, and confirm inspections
- Pour, consolidate/vibrate, and finish concrete walls; point and rub wall per specifications Mobilization #2 (1 week):
- Operate track loader to install gravel base for slab; use plate tamp to consolidate
- Mark level lines with laser/chalk; install vapor barrier and fiber board expansion joints
- Install wire mesh; confirm inspections
- Place and finish slab on grade using a line pump
- Operate soft cut saw to saw joints into slab same day Mobilization #3 (1 week):
- Form sidewalk at building perimeter; excavate footings for sidewalk
- Chalk level lines, grade subgrade, and install gravel base
- Install wire mesh; confirm inspections
- Place and finish sidewalks with concrete truck ________________________________________ Qualifications
- Experience with concrete work, including forming, pouring, and finishing, is preferred
- Ability to operate equipment such as mini excavators, track loaders, plate tamps, and saws
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings/specifications is a plus
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
