Concrete Cutter Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Concrete Cutter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various concrete cutting equipment, including saws, drills, and grinders, to cut, shape, and remove concrete structures for construction or demolition projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate concrete saws (handheld, walk-behind, wall, wire saws) and coring drills to cut or remove concrete, asphalt, and other hard materials. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or work orders to determine project requirements and cutting locations. Perform precise cuts to ensure minimal structural damage and clean removal. Ensure proper setup and calibration of cutting equipment. Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Maintain tools and machinery, reporting any malfunctions or damage. Manage dust suppression systems and clean work areas after cutting. Coordinate with supervisors and other crew members on job progress and requirements. Work in varying weather conditions and at heights or confined spaces, as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Proven experience in concrete cutting, sawing, drilling, or demolition. Ability to handle physical labor and work in demanding environments. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and job site safety practices. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver’s license (preferred).
Working Conditions:
Outdoor and indoor job sites. Exposure to loud noise, dust, vibration, and heavy equipment. May require early mornings, overtime, or weekend shifts.
