Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 12-hour shifts, 60 hours/week (Day and Night Shifts Available)
Per Diem:
$125/day, paid for 7 days per week Weekends off
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Layout Technician to join our team for a high-profile construction project in Wawayanda, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the concrete industry, including at least 5 years of experience and proven expertise in blueprint reading and layout work. This role requires a high level of precision, responsibility, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate layout for concrete foundations, walls, slabs, and other structural components Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Use elevation tools to mark points of measurement on job sites Measure distances between survey points to ensure layout accuracy Mark layout lines and measurements using keel or other marking tools Provide structure offsets and assist in creating layout drawings as needed Set up and operate layout instruments such as total stations and laser levels Coordinate with site supervisors, foremen, and other trades to ensure layout accuracy Conduct quality control checks to ensure all layout meets project tolerances and specifications Maintain and care for layout tools and equipment Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the concrete industry, with a strong emphasis on layout work Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings Experience using layout tools and instruments (e.g., total station, builder’s level, laser) Ability to work 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Day shift and night shift positions available
