Skilled Laborer – Concrete Finishing, Form Carpentry & Heavy Equipment Operation BWC Contracting, Inc. 201 Hyatt St, Gaffney, SC 29341 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete forming and finishing, with experience in various construction settings. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring that concrete surfaces are smooth, level, and aesthetically pleasing while adhering to project specifications and safety standards. Duties Prepare and set up concrete forms according to project specifications. Mix, pour, and finish concrete for various structures including sidewalks, driveways, and foundations. Utilize tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds to achieve desired surface finishes. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation of concrete elements. Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure timely project completion. Operate heavy equipment as needed for moving materials or assisting in the pouring process. Perform trim carpentry tasks related to formwork and finishing details. Apply surface treatments as required by project specifications. Experience Proven experience in concrete forming and finishing within a construction site environment. Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation is essential. Experience with commercial driving may be beneficial for transporting materials on-site. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus. Previous experience in trim carpentry is highly desirable.
