This position involves patrolling assigned areas, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and engaging with the community to foster trust and cooperation. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills and a commitment to upholding the law while ensuring the safety of all citizens. Duties Patrol designated areas to deter and detect criminal activity. Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents. Conduct thorough criminal investigations, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Enforce laws related to traffic, criminal offenses, and immigration regulations. Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary. Perform surveillance operations as required to gather intelligence on criminal activities. Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations for crime prevention initiatives. Provide assistance in loss prevention efforts within the community. Maintain accurate records of incidents, arrests, and investigations. Participate in ongoing training programs related to law enforcement practices, CPR, and animal care as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or a related field is preferred. POST Certified Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings. Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and practices. Knowledge of immigration law is a plus. Proficient in conflict management and resolution strategies. Experience or training in surveillance techniques is desirable. Physical fitness and ability to perform duties that may require militarized response tactics when necessary. Certification in CPR or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
