JOB DESCRIPTION
The Final Inspection & Permit Technician is responsible for managing and attending final city inspections for completed projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations. This role also includes handling the submission, tracking, and pickup of permits required for project execution. The technician serves as a liaison between the company and city officials, maintaining accurate documentation and facilitating a smooth inspection and permitting process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend and represent the company during final inspections with city inspectors. Submit, track, and obtain permits from relevant city or county departments. Communicate with city officials, inspectors, and internal teams to coordinate scheduling and resolve any issues. Maintain organized records of all inspection and permitting documents.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong understanding of local building and safety codes (solar or construction experience preferred). Ability to safely open and inspect main electrical panels. Must own or have access to a ladder and be able to transport it to inspection sites. Excellent communication, organization and time management skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and permit documents.
