Job Description

CEI Inspector Aide JEA Construction Engineering Services Inc (JEACES) 13545 Progress Boulevard, Alachua, FL 32615 Start your career in construction engineering inspection with JEACES! We’re seeking a CEI Inspector Aide to support quality assurance efforts on infrastructure projects throughout Florida. In this role, you’ll assist with verifying that construction aligns with contract specifications, inspect materials, document daily site activities, and contribute to maintaining safe, high-quality job sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enter the field and gain hands-on experience with minimal required experience. The CEI Inspector Aide assists in providing quality assurance assessments to ensure that construction matches the contracted services. Under the supervision and direction of the CEI Project Administrator/Project Engineer, CEI Senior Inspector/Senior Engineer Intern, or CEI Inspector/ Engineer Intern, the duties of this position include verifying construction and completing work in accordance with the construction Contract documents. The CEI Inspector provides surveillance of the Contractor’s Quality Control activities at the project site. Duties also include maintaining a daily log of construction and inspection activities and comparing progress reports. This position frequently works with little direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Perform quality assurance assessments – assessing the actual-to-contracted service, materials, and construction. Input and extract data. Assist Inspectors as requested. Inspect, sample, and test materials as directed. Communicate with Company staff frequently using email and telephone.

OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS

Complete a detailed daily log of construction and inspection activities. Maintain a safe work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

MVR FDOT
