Job Description
Plans Examiner/Compliance 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars Palatka, FL 32177 JOB This is a full-time, hourly position that reports to the Department Director, or designee. The position performs technical work in the reviewing of plans and applications for proposed new buildings and changes to existing buildings for compliance with applicable codes and ordinances and conducting building inspections.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Reviews plans and applications.
Prepares comments for code deficiencies.
Calculates fees.
Attends meetings with staff, engineers, architects, and contractors.
Maintains proficiency with code changes and ordinances.
Operates computer.
Answers questions from the public.
Performs work found in the Building Inspector job description.
May be required to assist with emergency support functions (ESF) in the EOC during emergencies or other related emergency duties.
Building Code compliance enforcement.
