As a CEI Inspector Aide your responsibilities will include to assist fully qualified Inspectors and Senior Inspectors to monitor the contractor’s on-site construction activities, performing inspections, and conducting field material sampling and testing to ensure conformance to project plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Assist with inspections and monitoring of assigned field work activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents Coordinate work and inspections with contractor’s representative as required by higher-level inspectors Under the general supervision of an Inspector or a Senior Inspector, check lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard field measuring equipment Ensure that highways, work zones, and traffic control setups conform to contract requirements Assist in field sampling and testing of component materials in accordance with the construction contract and inspection of completed work in accordance with client’s scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions) Aid in the inspection of traffic control devices and equipment and reporting of deficiencies to ensure compliance with applicable standards Maintain detailed, accurate records of daily operations and significant events Assist in the preparation of inspection reports and during project administration and inspection meetings Participate in the development of job safety practices and observe general job safety practices Responsible for performing assignments in assisting Inspector and Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties; receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress Available to work daytime, nighttime, and/or weekend shifts as required Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals Must be able to lift up to 50llbs

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate having the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year.
