The opportunity:
The Ancillary Inspector is responsible for conducting ancillary inspections of residential and commercial properties. This position has a direct impact on our success. Communication, attention to detail, a friendly and positive attitude, and a good team player are vital to this role. Our Ancillary Inspector must be competent in all facets of working directly with customers including communications, and attention to detail, and be able to maintain a positive exchange with clients and agents in high stress situations.

The Ancillary Inspection Technician will have a significant impact on the relationship with clients and agents, utilize a friendly and positive relationship to boost sales, provide detailed reports to the client, work closely with inspectors and other team members, help implement new ideas and initiatives, and will assist in helping us accomplish our goals. They are a team player committed to assisting, sharing, and respecting co-workers.
What you will do:
Perform residential and commercial ancillary inspections for several hours a day at various locations. Ancillary Inspections may include, but are not limited to: Sewer Scope, Mold Testing, Termite Inspections, 4 Point Inspections, and Wind Mitigation Inspections. Produce a comprehensive digital report showing what was observed during the inspection within the timeline guidelines of the company. Create positive client experiences while building positive client relationships through accurate, thorough, and timely service delivery. Communicate the value of additional services to clients. Provide detailed information in a clear, concise, professional, and non-threatening manner with all applicable parties (typically Buyer’s Agent and Client) regarding the findings of the inspection through both written and verbal communication methods. Build trust with our inspectors, clients, and real estate agents using a calm demeanor, consistency, honesty, thoroughness, and communication. Always represent our brand in a professional business manner through appropriate communication practices and attire. Communicate as a team player within the organization regarding opportunities to improve service, value, and product offerings.

What we are looking for:
Someone who loves customer service and has great people skills. Construction background or inspection experience preferred, but not required. Ability to work with small tools to take apart and re-install plumbing materials. Dedication to continuous learning. Valid Driver’s License. Someone who is teachable, dependable and able to work unsupervised. Someone that wants to contribute to a team and fits our culture. Reliable transportation required. Physical requirements:
Exposure to weather conditions year-round, heat when climbing into attics int eh summer, cold when going into crawl spaces in the winter Ability to stand/walk for many hours at a time. Ability to navigate attics and crawl spaces, including crawling. Able to lift medium sized ladders and smaller equipment. Must have a fully functional smartphone with internet access.
