Certified LADOT Inspector 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Lake Charles, LA 70601 Leading Regional Professional Engineering Firm seeks an experienced Certified LADOT Inspector in Lake Charles for our transportation construction projects with a focus on structural concrete and embankment work. Position Overview As our Transportation Construction Inspector, it is your responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and documenting transportation construction projects to ensure compliance with Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) specifications, standards, and contract requirements. This role is integral in ensuring that our construction projects meet state and federal standards. Construction Oversight Documentation Quality Control Material Testing Reporting Collaboration Position Compensation $30-45/hr, depending on experience Competitive and comprehensive benefits plan including very affordable health, dental, and vision insurances, HSA, life, disability, paid time off Position Requirements Must hold at least one LADOTD Certification in transportation construction with preference being in embankment, concrete, or asphalt HS diploma, advanced education preferred A minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction inspection Strong understanding of all applicable codes Proficient in reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings, construction specifications and LADOTD standards Valid DL and ability to work in varying site conditions and weather
