Role:
H2Bravo is hiring experienced Damage Assessors to conduct onsite damage assessments and prepare Estimated Cost of Repair (ECR) reports. Inspections may be conducted in various storm damage impacted areas. These reports will support the management of federal disaster recovery grant programs to repair or reconstruct damaged housing. Assessors will schedule appointments with homeowners, perform onsite inspections and assessments for eligible repairs, record homeowner-completed repairs, and collect environmental compliance information. All findings and outcomes will be documented with notes and photographs using Xactimate software.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years previous experience as a damage assessor, insurance claims adjuster, residential housing inspector or relevant experience in the construction industry. Proficient with the latest Xactimate version (required) Strong understanding of building codes and construction practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn database systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain building codes, inspection findings, program policies, and resolve construction-related issues between multiple parties. Experience with inspections, such as framing, electrical, plumbing, or foundation. Professional certifications from recognized industry organizations.
Responsibilities:
Communicate and coordinate with homeowners to schedule inspections as they are assigned. Perform onsite inspections to identify all eligible storm damage repairs and all other allowable scope items that must be included in a complete scope of work. Conduct and interview with the homeowner and perform onsite inspection to identify all eligible repairs that have been completed. Perform onsite inspection to identify and collect environmental data and photos. Communicate effectively with homeowners and program staff to resolve issues on compliance matters. Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations to ensure accurate inspections.

Compensation Breakdown:
Assessors are compensated based on the number of inspections performed. The price per inspection may vary depending on specific location and program requirements. The salary listed is based on an average expected weekly production and extrapolated to calculate an annual salary. A program-negotiated price per inspection will be confirmed prior to accepting the position.
