Job Summary:
- We are seeking a CMT Field Technician Special Inspector to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform inspections and testing of various construction materials and soils on job sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Requirements:
- + High school diploma or equivalent required; + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation + Field experience preferred + Must hold current ICC Soils Special Inspector certification

Technical Requirements:
- + ICC Soils Special Inspector certification + Ability to document daily field activities clearly and professionally + Experience completing inspection reports accurately and on time

Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
- + Must be able to travel to job sites within Brooklyn, NY + Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams
- Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- + Perform field inspections and testing of soils in accordance with ICC Soils Special Inspection standards + Observe and verify soil-related construction activities for compliance with project specifications and applicable codes + Conduct soil compaction testing using nuclear density gauge + Perform standard Proctor and modified Proctor tests + Collect and prepare soil samples for laboratory analysis + Document daily observations, test results, and any non-conformances in detailed field reports + Communicate findings and progress with project managers and engineers •
Work Environment:
- This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve exposure to construction sites with potential hazards. The CMT Field Technician Special Inspector must be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.

Compensation:
- $20.00 – $30.00 hourly compensation The expected compensation range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
