Join our dynamic team as aMechanical Inspectorand play a key role in shaping the future of NYC’s public housing infrastructure. You’ll be part of a high-impact team ensuring quality, safety, and compliance on critical NYCHA projects across the five boroughs. ????️Key Responsibilities Conduct MEP inspections and interpret construction plans and specifications. Prepare detailed reports including daily narratives, inspection logs, and documentation of unit price work. Coordinate project activities across design, procurement, construction, and closeout phases. Identify and report potential extra work issues to the Project Manager. Review contractor payment requests and provide recommendations. Communicate effectively with stakeholders through written and verbal updates. Work in restricted areas while adhering to safety and access protocols. ✅Top Skills & Qualifications 4+ years of construction experience on NYC building projects (NYCHA experience is aplus). Strong inboiler systems and mechanical inspections experience BS in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is aplus. OSHA 30-hourconstruction safety certification isrequired. Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance with ITE’s health, safety, and conduct policies.
