THE POSITION

As an Environmental Projects Construction Inspector, your role involves overseeing the inspection of construction activities and materials associated with civil, environmental, and mine reclamation projects. OF WORK
In this role, you are responsible for the inspection of construction activities and materials related to civil, environmental, and mine reclamation projects, ensuring that the executing entity ads to all relevant permits, plans, specifications, and departmental policies. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and determining the acceptability of materials and workmanship in relation to contract and permit standards. You will also inspect the installation and upkeep of erosion and sedimentation control measures to verifypliance with approved plans and permits. ly, you will be tasked with ensuring that corrective actions are implemented, issuing notices of violations when necessary to enforcepliance with permit conditions, and preparing earth disturbance inspection reports that include your rmendations.

Work Schedule and Information:

Full-time Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
This is a field position that will cover project sites in the following Western PA counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Fayette, Indiana, Jefferson, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland. You will be expected to report to the Cambria District Office on an as-needed basis.

Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, in the field. You will be expected to report to the Cambria District office on an as needed basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Ebensburg.

Salary:

Selected candidates who are new to with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of construction inspection experience on heavy construction projects such as dams, flood control projects, mine reclamation projects, treatment plants, hazardous waste projects, airports, highways or utility installations; or
An Associate Degree in Building Construction Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or a closely related field; or
An equivalentbination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
