Reference #: 3872RK&K is currently seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors, Supervisors, and Managers (TCI, TCIS, TCM) for PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and Municipal highway and bridge projects throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. This is a field position that will work primarily at specific construction sites within Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming counties in PennDOT District 4. Ideal candidates will have at least two (2) years of transportation construction inspection experience, OR, at least four (4) years of construction industry experience (preferably heavy highway/bridge construction). RK&K also hires those with related experiences such as military, and surveyor experience.
Essential FunctionWork on various roadway and bridge projects within the region’s geographic areaOversight of contractor’s quality control operationsQuality Assurance sampling and testingCompletion of Daily Sampling and Testing ReportsDaily Inspection Reports (PSA’s or IDR’s)Daily communication with client, contractor, and field project personnelRequired Skills and ExperienceOne (1) year of experience as a PennDOT Technical AssistantOr (2) two years minimum of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experienceOr (4) four (4) years minimum of highway or bridge construction, non-highway or bridge inspection, or highway or bridge design experienceOr Possess a Transportation Technology Construction Inspection certification received through an accredited Technology program approved by the DepartmentOr Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in a non-Civil Engineering fieldOr Holds an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementOr Holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementOr Holds an active Professional Engineers License (PE)Preferred Skills and ExperienceNICET Highway Construction Inspection Level 2 (or higher)NECEPT Asphalt/Bituminous Field Testing Technician CertificationACI/PennDOT Concrete Field Testing Technician CertificationExperience using Penn
