Cannon & Cannon, Inc. is seeking an honest, capable, and experienced utilities construction inspector to join our Knoxville office. CCI seeks a qualified individual for on-site construction inspection of various water and sewer infrastructure projects for various utility companies in the East Tennessee area. This person may also inspect the relocation of utilities that are part of TDOT roadway projects.
POSITION INFORMATION
The position reports to the Utilities Division Leader/Team Leaders. The applicant should have at least five (5) years of progressive experience in utility infrastructure projects. Under general direction, this position is responsible for technical civil engineering work of intermediate difficulty and performs duties in the area of construction inspection, EP&SC inspection, materials sampling/testing, and project administration. This position requires specific technical certifications, or the ability to obtain such specific certifications as soon as the training opportunity is available. This position requires the astute ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of people; such as the general public, local businesses, property owners, contractors, and our clients. Though rare, occasional overnight travel may be required. This position will work in the Knoxville and surrounding east Tennessee region. Candidate must possess and maintain a Class D driver’s license valid to operate vehicles in the State of Tennessee.
