Role:
Works with a team of Engineers, Project Managers, New Service Representatives, Developers, Contractors and other KUB staff to provide inspection services for New Service construction projects. Role will include completing constructability reviews, construction project inspection, GPS data collection, as-built reviews for water, wastewater, and electric construction projects. Primary responsibilities include but not limited to inspection of water/wastewater infrastructures and electrical infrastructures including conduit installations, duct banks, manholes, transformer pads, and other electrical infrastructures. The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of KUB construction standards and practices and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide engineering inspection services and support. Receive training to perform storm response and other emergency duties with other department members.
Qualifications Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and / or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to read and understand construction drawings, standards, and specifications Ability to work as part of a team to achieve departments and KUB goals Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and team skills Valid driver’s license Please note that due to our internal education requirements, this position will not support H-1B immigration status; we are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for and/or based on this position.
Preferred Requirements:
Associates degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Computer
- Aided Drafting and Design, or related field from an accredited community college or university Two or more (2+) years’ experience in engineering or construction, preferably with a public utility Experience in Construction Project Management Prior GPS experience Experience in various computer skills including GIS, Excel, SharePoint, Word, and Project Management Software Selection Process About the
