Construction Inspector Position Available In Shelby, Tennessee

Construction Inspector The Town of Arlington is currently seeking a highly motivated individual for a full time Inspector position to join our Public Works department. This employee will conduct field inspections of public works projects including construction of streets, bridges, sewers, storm drainage systems, and grading of all residential and commercial subdivisions/developments, including landscaping, irrigation, building elevation materials and signage to ensure conformance with Town standard specifications, and approved plans. Applicant must have graduated from a standard high or trade school, supplemented course work by specialized and technical training in the building and construction trades; two 2 years experience involving the construction, inspection and maintenance of public works projects preferably in a municipal setting; Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and have good mathematical and reasoning skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license in the State of Tennessee. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Must pass a background check, driver s license check and physical exam, including a drug screen. Will work in a non-smoking environment. Pay range $19.50-$22 depending on experience.
