Description:
Master Boat Builders is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pipe Foreman who will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the fabrication of piping components, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and production standards. This individual will help manage a team of pipe fitters, welders, and other shop personnel, ensuring efficient and accurate work within the shop. The Fabrication Pipe Foreman will also help manage schedules, quality control, and may be involved in material procurement and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and supervise the work of fabrication shop employees, ensuring they are trained and performing their duties effectively. Develops and manages fabrication schedules, prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines. Ensures that all fabricated components meet required quality standards, inspecting work for accuracy and compliance with specifications. Enforce safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. May be responsible for ordering, managing, and tracking materials needed for fabrication projects. Identifies and resolves issues or challenges that arise in the fabrication process, ensuring smooth operations. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient workflow. May be involved in training new employees and providing ongoing development opportunities for the team.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications :
5 years prior experience in a relatable field highly preferred. Strong leadership and supervisory skills are required to effectively manage a team. A thorough understanding of fabrication techniques, piping systems, and welding processes is necessary. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are needed to address challenges that arise. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient workflow. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and potentially CAD software.
