Position Summary:

The Foreman is responsible for the fieldplanning, coordination, and production of all roadway-relatedconstruction activities, as directed by the Superintendent. Thisrole requires effective leadership, a focus on quality control, anda commitment to ensuring projects are completed safely,efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Comply with (andactively promote) all Safety policies and procedures, includingreporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensureadherence to our Number One Core Value
  • Safety, first ineverything we do.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize daily workactivities in collaboration with the Superintendent to meet projectobjectives.
  • Oversee and manage time sheets for labor andequipment, ensuring accurate and timely submission of daily reportswith detailed quantities worked.
  • Continuously review and monitorcrew productivity, providing guidance and addressing performance toachieve daily goals.
  • Enforce strict compliance with qualitycontrol standards and ensure adherence to company safety policiesthroughout all phases of the work.
  • Monitor the projectconstruction schedule, actively working to keep tasks on time andwithin scope.
  • Lead daily team huddles, conduct stretchingexercises, and facilitate weekly toolbox talks to maintain teamfocus and promote safety awareness.
  • Perform detailed job hazardanalysis before beginning new activities, identifying andmitigating risks to protect workers.
  • Collaborate with theSuperintendent to develop and implement an effective materialhandling plan to support the project workflow.
  • Collect and ensurethe timely submission of all delivery receipts to field engineersfor accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman working in roadwayconstruction.
  • Extensive knowledge of calculating and settinggrades, as well as expertise in operating and managing roadwayconstruction equipment and forming systems.
  • Valid driver’slicense.
  • Certified in OSHA 10 standards.
  • Familiarity withindustry best practices and construction project managementprocesses is preferred.
