JOB SUMMARY:
The FramingDrywallAcoustical Foreman’s responsibility is to ensure the delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to project plans and specifications. This position will be responsible for safety, schedule, assignment, and supervision of crews, work performance, material procurement planning, and quality control of the work at the job sites.
FLSA CLASSIFICATION AND HOURS
Full-Time, Exempt – This is a 40 hour a week, full-time position. Days and hours of work are at minimum Monday through Friday, and you can expect to work normal field operations hours from 7AM to 4PM. Specific jobs may require hours to report in to work to change based on project needs. This could mean you could report to work earlier, or you may have to stay later. Changes in work hours will be at the sole discretion of direct supervisor. Position is based on completion of work, not hours worked. Some occasional weekend and after-hours work are required pending demands of the job and projects assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively and strategically plan all field production activities, tools, materials, budgets, and manpower. Ability to run large commercial construction jobs – metal stud framing, hanging and acoustical ceilings. Accountable for assuring that assigned jobs adhere to the standards for safety (our number one priority), customer and team relationships, quality, schedule, and production Achieve objectives by effectively managing and assigning responsibilities to the field crews to ensure jobs are completed on time and work is performed according to TriCoast’s production, quality, and safety standards. Adhere to all TriCoast Building Group’s, Federal, State, and Local regulations, policies, and procedures as well as contract codes. Closely follow project contract document changes and change order notice-to-proceed policies. Assuring that the assigned team members time sheets are accurate, determining appropriate pay levels, assessing skills and rewarding/disciplining in relation to their performance Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including General Contractors, Project Management team, field crew, etc. Conduct all business in a professional, positive, and ethical manner with all trades, clients, contractors, vendors, and co-workers to maximize the effectiveness, efficiency, and profit of the company. Develop good customer relationships to assure that they are the partner that helps drive the job with the General Contractor/customer or client Ensure the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform the required work. Safeguard that all employees and team adhere to State, Federal, Local and TBG rules and regulations Interpret plans, blueprints, and sketches of proposed projects. Interpret, implement, and enforce the company’s safety plan, rules, and regulations and assure that all employees meet TriCoast Building Group’s standards for safety. Involved in the recruitment, selection, placement and evaluation process of all assigned individuals, both employees and subcontractors Lead by example in a professional manner, be a role model for field crew, and challenge and motivate all employees to achieve excellence. Partner with the Safety Team to assure that all employees are working safely and adhering to TriCoast and the customers safety rules Proactively drive work progress to meet deadlines, allocated budgets, and quality standards. Work alongside the Project Manager to track and monitor material. Responsible for personnel development by managing field foremen Responsible for teaching foremen recruiting, interviewing, assessing and hiring staff to work on the jobs Utilizing or developing regular training programs to enhance and increase their teams skill-sets and performance under the supervision of foremen Review and monitor labor efficiencies and hours. Project the labor needs for the duration of the project. Share any production delays, changes, deficiencies, or other problems as they arise with the Project Management team. The primary focus of the Superintendent will be to assure that a job is completed on-time, and on-budget Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate, assess, and resolve any potential changes and issues. Work with Project Manager to establish project goals and monitor success in reaching those objectives on an ongoing basis. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE
Candidates should have at least five (5) years of commercial drywall experience and at least (3) years of supervising field crews. Understands and can instruct drywall and ceiling industry’s labor, materials and methods Capacity to be certified in: OSHA 30, First Aid Minimum High School Diploma/GED required, associate degree or higher preferred. Valid driver’s license and DMV printout. Drug testing clearance. Proven ability to lead people and develop strong customer relationships Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and focus Computer & technology savvy
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Proven experience as a FramingDrywallAcoustical Foreman. Experience in construction and maintenance of commercial and/or industrial facilities. Knowledge of scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge, and installation durations. Ability to read and interpret design drawings, specifications, and diagrams. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines. Excellent communication to provide instructions and training to workers. Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills – effectively build consensus and work with others to achieve desired results and objectives. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions with little supervision. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Excellent time management, prioritizing, follow-up skills. Experience with multi-tasking. • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. o The ability to solve math problems quickly and accurately.
