is looking to hire a WORKING Pipe/ Road Foreman. Applicant must be highly experienced in Utility Installation (Water, Sewer, Drainage), Road Building, and Earthwork in the Heavy Civil Underground Construction Sector. All other applicants need not apply.

General Responsibilities & Requirements:

Minimum (5) Years’ Experience in Heavy Civil Underground Construction (Water, Sewer, Drainage, Roadway) Ability to manage 5 – 10 man crew, have all the necessary equipment, tools, safety gear, paperwork accessible when needed. Ability to operate and perform with high productivity/ efficiencies Knowledge required to facilitate the correct installation of various materials needed to successfully construct heavy civil construction projects. Utility Installation Drainage structure installation Subgrade and road base installation and compaction Ability to use laser/ level/ transit Ability to check survey/ layout and benchmarks Ability to install necessary sheeting and trench safety apparatuses Ability to install necessary dewatering apparatuses (well point systems) • Properly oversee staff equipment maintenance procedures and communicate with the mechanic. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass Motor Vehicle Background check Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push and pull Must be able to work on average 10 hours per day, 5 days per week All work is performed outdoors (dusty or dirty surroundings) Work in open excavations or trench boxes installing pipe and/or drainage structures Be able to use gas-powered tools (chop saw, water pumps, chainsaws, compaction equipment.) Be able to use hand tools (hammers, wrenches, drills, shovels, etc.) Be able to climb ladders, lift to 50 pounds Work in an outdoor environment; different types of weather (light rain, heat of the summer, cool in the fall.) Work in confined spaces Ability to communicate with Owners, Inspectors, MCI Staff, Municipal Staff, Subcontractors, and Suppliers. Ability to operate all general equipment (Excavators, Skid Steer, Front End Loader, Small Tools, Pumps, ect.) – Forman will operate equipment on a daily basis. Mathematically Inclined General Organization Required Ability to learn new projects prior to the start of construction via plans and field walkthroughs. Daily planning & coordination with superintendent & project management
