Job Summary:

We’re hiring an experienced Roadway Foreman to lead daily operations for road construction projects. This role oversees crews, equipment, and materials to harmonize , raise and build roads, curb and gutter to prepare for asphalt and concrete, efficiently, and up to spec. The right candidate brings strong leadership, field experience, and a deep understanding of roadway construction and DOT standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Oversight
Supervise crews and subcontractors on grading, paving, drainage, and traffic control tasksAssign daily work, manage crew productivity, and ensure safety complianceTrain, mentor, and evaluate crew performance
Project Execution
Interpret blueprints, site plans, and specificationsCoordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor schedulingMonitor job progress and inspect work for quality and compliance
Safety & Documentation
Lead daily safety meetings and enforce PPE useMaintain logs for labor, equipment, materials, and progressReport incidents and communicate issues to superintendents or project managers

Qualifications:

5+ years of road construction experience, 2+ years in a foreman roleProficient in reading plans and grading stakesKnowledge of DOT standards and traffic controlValid driver’s license (CDL preferred)High school diploma or GED

Preferred Skills:

Experience operating or supervising heavy equipmentFamiliarity with GPS layout and machine controlStrong time management and crew leadership

Physical Requirements:

Work in all weather conditionsLift up to 50 lbs, walk, stand, or operate equipment for extended periodsCompany Description
