This is a full-time leadership position ideal for a driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is committed to excellence, integrity, and teamwork. The Shell Foreman will be responsible for managing all phases of on-site structural construction for residential projects. This includes overseeing subcontractors, maintaining schedules, ensuring quality control, enforcing safety standards, and coordinating with the broader project management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, superb organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise daily on-site operations for concrete, block, and beam phases of construction. Create and maintain accurate material take-offs and ensure timely procurement of necessary supplies and equipment. Coordinate closely with the scheduling team to confirm project timelines and adjust as needed. Distribute plans and updates to trade partners and ensure clarity on deliverables and expectations. Provide daily oversight and quality control of subcontractors’ work, documenting progress using Buildertrend software. Ensure all inspections are passed before progressing to the next construction phase. Proactively plan work activities in alignment with the master construction schedule. Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and standards on the job site. Oversee proper maintenance and utilization of construction tools and equipment, including concrete pumps and power tools.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Shell Foreman or similar supervisory role in residential construction. Strong ability to lead and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage multiple tasks. Proficiency with construction management software such as Buildertrend is a plus. Knowledge of local building codes and inspection procedures.
