MacKenzie of Florida, Inc. 6212 33rd Street East, Bradenton, FL 34203 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe Foreman to oversee construction projects and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong understanding of underground utility construction methods. Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to project specifications and timelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints / plans to ensure proper placement of underground utilities.
- Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to Superintendent in a timely manner.
- Enforce OSHA safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Operate heavy equipment when required.
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and that safety protocols are followed during operation. Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
- Reading skills with the ability to understand complex plans and specifications.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to manage teams effectively.
- Experience working on underground utility projects.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment while maintaining attention to detail.
The ability to adapt and change to meet deadlines.
Education / Experience
- High school or equivalent (G.E.D) preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience that pertains to the position.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the underground utilities’ construction industry. Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting.
Must be physically able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
