Job Description
Pipe Foreman Frederick Derr Company 1451 Myrtle Street, Sarasota, FL 34234 Frederick Derr & Company, Inc. , an employee-owned, well-established site development construction company is currently seeking a Pipe Foreman to supervise and coordinate the activities of pipe crew engaged in construction of water/sewer projects.
Responsibilities include:
Examine and inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure specifications are met. Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures. Estimate material and staffing requirements to complete jobs. Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff to ensure safety, quality and productivity. Coordinate work activities with other construction project requirements. Order materials or supplies. Locate, measure and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment using measuring and marking equipment. Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data. Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs. Implement and enforce safety requirements.
Requirements include:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a pipe crew. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, documents, instructions and procedure manuals. Effective communication skills. Ability to implement and enforce safety standards. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must have a valid driver’s license.
