Commercial Electrical Foreman Granite State Electric LLC Chapel Hill, NC 27599 Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead our electrical projects with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with team members, contractors, and clients to achieve project goals. Duties Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical crews on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of electrical systems. Oversee project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to contract requirements. Conduct construction estimating to determine material and labor costs for projects. Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters for testing electrical systems and components. Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations on the construction site. Collaborate with project managers using software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for project documentation and management. Provide training and mentorship to junior electricians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in project scheduling and contract management. Familiarity with construction estimating practices. Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret complex schematics. Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Certification or relevant training in electrical systems is preferred.
