Our headquarters are located in Hampton, NH. WP Davis has been successfully conducting high quality business for 20 years in the heavy civil construction industry. Lead Excavation Foreman:
- Experience managing field operations for excavation/civil construction projects.
- Ideal years of experience would be 3 years as a Foreman/Superintendent role and 5 years’ experience operating excavators.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Ability to work within a team environment and work collaboratively to get the job done.
- Experience with effectively running small (2 man) to large (8 man) crews.
- Excellent communication, problem solving skills, leadership, and have an attention to detail with a drive for quality work completion.
- Willingness to work in all season’s year round and travel to job sites located in Southeast New Hampshire and Southern Maine.
- OSHA 10 certified.
- Able to meet Physical demands.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and must be able to climb a ladder, minimum of 15 feet. Will be required to have the ability to bend, squat, crouch, crawl, and kneel. Will have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps). Perform prolonged standing (2-3-hour intervals). - Must be comfortable leading, communicating, and working with small (2 man) to large (8 man) crews.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Mange logistics of material deliveries from vendor to job sites.
- Comfortable with using in field construction software. WP Davis Excavation LLC currently uses Raken, QuickBooks, TSheets, and Tenna. Foreman will be responsible for daily delivery, approval, rejections, and edits for electronic timecards & worklogs/ field logs for all working crew members.
- Read, understand, and implement plans, blueprints, and specifications within the Heavy Civil construction world.
- Provide and meet daily with crew with daily toolbox talks. Confirmation of toolbox will need to be signed and filled out. Foreman will also ensure that job site visitors will need to inform of the daily safety and signed in.
- Foreman will ensure that all daily on the job equipment reports /equipment inspections are completed and signed.
- Follow all company mandated and government safety/health guidelines. This includes keeping up with OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training. Ensure that heavy equipment is being inspected and checklists are completed on Raken software.
- Provide on-site hands-on training for field personnel to accomplish on site means and methods. (Laborers and Operators)
- Understand a budget and job tracking. Communicate costs to Project Manager and respond to questions of ongoing job activities. Communicate with project team to ensure quality work, timely completion of work, and proper safety steps are taken. What We Offer
