Job Description
Site Foreman for Construction Projects F.L. Merrill Construction, Inc. 35 Veteran`s Drive, Loudon, NH 03307 Responsibilities Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints Oversee and coordinate all aspects of a construction site, including supervising crews, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining project timelines, managing budgets, interpreting blueprints, and resolving on-site issues Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans. Work with owners, general contractors, sub-contractors to achieve productive outcomes for the project.
Supervise workers:
Ensure workers are properly supplied with tools and equipment, and that they are working safely and productively to ensure the project is kept on schedule Inspect projects: Regularly inspect projects to ensure quality and compliance with plans Report progress: Prepare reports on work progress and equipment maintenance Manage resources: Ensure that resources, materials, and equipment are used efficiently and not wasted
Communicate:
Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other personnel as needed Ensure compliance: Ensure that work complies with all relevant safety standards and regulations Skills and experience Strong leadership and communication skills Experience in civil engineering and construction management Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and construction plans Advanced knowledge of construction procedures and knowledge in operating equipment such as excavators, front end loaders, motor graders, backhoes, etc. commonly used in dirt work. In-depth knowledge of safety guidelines and best practices Knowledge in operating equipment such as excavators, front end loaders, motor graders, backhoes, etc. commonly used in dirt work
Position Requirements:
Applicants should have Experience in Supervising experience role. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record to drive company vehicles. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Knowledge of safety standards pertaining to construction field. During peak season, ability to work overtime and weekends. Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
