Full-Time Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Civil Construction Foreman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, with a focus on heavy equipment operations and site management. This role is crucial in overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. A large number of our projects are prevailing wage, providing higher earning potential for our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications. Lead and coordinate the work of subcontractors and laborers, providing clear direction and support. Monitor project progress and report on milestones, challenges, and solutions to management. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices, fostering a culture of safety on the job site. Conduct regular inspections of work completed, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed. Manage project materials and equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and ensure project success.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in construction management preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a foreman or supervisory role. Experience using GPS and Laser enabled heavy equipment. Proficient in the use of construction management software and tools. Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Class A CDL is not required but highly desirable.
