Hardscaping & Concrete Foreman Muthler Landscaping 913 Bellefonte Avenue, Lock Haven, PA 17745 Position Overview Muthler Landscaping is hiring a skilled Mason / Hardscape Installer to join our construction team. This role is for a motivated tradesperson with hands-on experience building paver patios, retaining walls, walkways, steps, and other landscape structures. You’ll be responsible for executing hardscape installations from layout to finish, using equipment, power tools, and proper construction techniques. We do high-end residential and light commercial work—not corner-cutting. We expect quality craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and a team-first attitude. If you can run a jobsite or want to grow into a foreman role, we’ll back your development and reward performance. Responsibilities Install patios, retaining walls, walkways, stairs, and other landscape structures Read plans or layout jobs using strings, lasers, and levels Cut and fit pavers or blocks with saws and grinders Excavate and prep base using hand tools or skid steer/mini-ex Set base materials and compact properly for structure stability Set blocks, caps, and pavers using adhesive, jointing sand, and finishes Assist foreman in leading laborers or helpers Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites Communicate with foreman or Operations Manager on project needs or issues Required Qualifications 2+ years experience in paver or block installation (Versa-Lok, Techo-Bloc, etc.) Skilled with compactors, levels, string lines, and paver saws Strong understanding of grades, base prep, and layout Physically able to lift 80+ lbs, work outdoors in all conditions Detail-oriented, professional, and takes pride in workmanship Willingness to work overtime when needed and keep pace with project demands Driver’s license and transportation to jobsites Preferred (but not required) Experience with Versa-Lok or engineered wall systems Ability to run skid steer or mini excavator ICPI, NCMA, or OSHA certification Experience leading a helper or laborer What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and skill Bonus opportunities for performance and leadership High-quality tools, maintained equipment, and organized workflow Training and advancement toward crew leader or foreman Year-round work opportunities (including winter snow operations) A no-nonsense team that values quality work and respects its tradespeople We look forward to your application!
