Full Job Description About Us:

Cape Romain Contractors is a leader in marine construction in South Carolina. We’re seeking an experienced Marine Construction Foreman with a Commercial Dive Supervisor certification to lead a four-man dive crew when required. The vast majority of the time, this position will be engaged in general marine construction operations, but when a dive job arises, the Foreman will take charge of all diving activities.

Position Overview:

The Marine Construction Foreman/Dive Supervisor will primarily support and lead marine construction projects, including pile driving, structural rehabilitation, and concrete repairs. Additionally, this role will oversee underwater construction, inspection, and maintenance operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a 4-person dive team for underwater construction, inspection, welding, and salvage operations when required. Ensure all dive operations adhere to ADCI and OSHA safety standards. Perform above-water marine construction, including pile driving, carpentry, concrete work, and structural repairs. Maintain, inspect, and ensure compliance of all dive equipment and safety protocols. Coordinate dive logistics, reporting, and documentation when underwater operations are required. Work closely with project managers to maintain efficiency, safety, and quality on marine construction projects. Serve as a key leader in ensuring the smooth integration of diving capabilities within marine construction work.

Qualifications:

Certified Commercial Dive Supervisor with ADCI or equivalent certification. Minimum 5 years of experience in marine construction, with strong diving experience. Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing crews in both diving and general marine construction work. Proficiency in underwater welding, cutting, inspections, and salvage operations. Strong knowledge of pile driving, concrete construction, marine repair, and equipment operation. Ability to work in physically demanding and challenging marine environments. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to safety and teamwork.
