North Charleston, SC Job Overview Siteworks Inc. is seeking a skilled and results-driven Utilities Foreman or Grading Foreman to lead field crews on heavy civil construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for individuals with strong technical expertise in underground utilities or site grading, and a proven ability to supervise crews, maintain productivity, and enforce safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily field operations in underground utility installation or site grading. Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to ensure work stays on schedule. Oversee trenching, grading, compaction, utility tie-ins, and backfilling. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes. Provide mentorship and training to crew members. Promote jobsite safety through daily toolbox talks and regular inspections. Maintain accurate daily reports of manpower, materials, and equipment. Support field work as needed, including pipe laying and equipment operation. Proactively solve site issues and motivate crews to maintain high performance. Qualifications 2-3+ years of experience leading crews in heavy civil construction. Technical knowledge in underground utilities (storm, sewer, water) or grading and earthwork. Ability to read and interpret site layouts, blueprints, and grade stakes. Experience operating construction equipment is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to enforcing jobsite safety protocols. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
