The Foreman’s role is critical to the success of each project. The Foreman will be responsible for managing commercial construction projects from start to finish, which will include direct supervision/coordination of field employees. This is a working Foreman role and applicants should be proficient in the operation of heavy equipment. (Including but not limited to: dozer, backhoe, motor grader, roller, etc…) They will be responsible for the quality of work, adherence to schedules/timelines, and completion of projects within budget. The Foreman will also serve as a point of contact for subcontractors, vendors and other on-site superintendents. Essential Functions:
Ensure field crews are following required safety procedures, utilizing proper PPE and delivering weekly safety training. Understand and analyze blueprints and specifications to identify requirements for the project, provide layout support and manage labor/material. Operate heavy equipment to complete tasks. (Dozer, backhoe, motor grader, roller, etc…) Use other manual earth moving tools. (Shovel, rake, wheel barrow, etc…) Setup/operate Grading GPS Systems, grade levels and lasers. Organize the necessary documentation from job startup to closeout phases. Maintain and update project schedules as needed. Attend project meetings with clients, architects, engineers and general contractors. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors. Manage field crews for all phases of projects, ensuring quality work and timely completion of tasks. Inspect all completed work to ensure adherence to local codes and company quality standards. Motivate crews and maintain high employee morale. Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial clearing/grading/utility construction projects. Heavy equipment operation experience Ability to read and interpret construction drawings High School Diploma/GED Valid Driver’s License (10 year driving record will be reviewed)
Background Check and Drug Screen Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of experience in commercial clearing/grading/utility construction Previous management experience Commercial Drivers License(CDL) Experience with GPS Grading Systems, grade levels and lasers
